TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is an important criterion in the acquisition of a multiple socket. A multiple socket with a low purchase price can turn out to be much more expensive than a PDU with converse properties, due to high maintenance and consumption costs. Because we do not economise on the quality and the dimensions of the components in the production of our PDU, the Schleifenbauer PDU is no 'price fighter'. We are of the opinion, however, that for this sector it is also true that buying cheap is expensive. Below follows an overview of the characteristics:
- Long lifetime of 10 years
- Over-sized wiring for lower power consumption and longer lifetime
- Very low power consumption due to adapted electronics and switchable LCD display
- Energy-efficient bi-stable relays with zero Watts power uptake
- Low installation costs because of the daisy-chain data bus topology
- Low temperature of the PDU due to low power consumption > less cooling needed
- @ DEFINILINK > never again power outages when replacing defective components
And last but not least: due to the limited power supply in certain regions, the situation can arise that a data centre still has square metres available but no power. Any savings on power consumption can therefore lead to the greater marketability of square metres in the data centre.
