Gateway

The Gateway is an essential part of the Schleifenbauer system, The Gateway has several functions:

  • to configure all connected Schleifenbauer PDUs
  • to transport the data from the databus to a database
  • to switch the individual outlets in a PDU

The Gateway has a TCP/IP interface and a USB connection for set-up and maintenance. It comes with a 4 level access control system. The gateway firmware as well as the PDU firmware can be upgraded while operational. For a PDU upgrade the Gateway uses a broadcast function to upgrade all connected PDUs with a single action. This can be done without jeopardizing the power feed to the outlets.

  • ethernet: RJ45 adaptor for connection to IP network
  • databus: RJ45 adaptor for connection to the first PDU on the data bus
  • close ring: RJ45 adaptor for closing the data bus ring (optional)
  • USB: USB connector for connecting a PC for initial set-up (TCP/IP configuration)
  • RS232: DB-9 connector for connecting a PC for initial set-up (TCP/IP configuration)
  • aux power: power jack connecting a power adaptor as secundary power supply for redundancy purposes
