connection between gateway and PDUs

The data bus ensures quick and easy wiring of the PDUs. Also, it is not necessary to configure the PDUs with IP settings. A PDU is connected to the data bus by connecting standard UTP cables to one of the RJ45 data bus connectors on the PDU. The first PDU is connected to the gateway. If the redundancy option is used, the last one must also be connected to the gateway. In a redundant data bus a single fault can be dealt with by the gateway by reversing the data flow. The gateway immediately shows when the bus is interrupted and pinpoints the location, so that you can correct the fault immediately.

  • Data bus characteristics:

  • Speed: 100 Kb/s
  • Max. number of devices: 750-1500 (depending on PDU config)
