The gateway can process a large number of different protocols. As a result, the data of the data bus can be integrated with almost all different systems.
On the data bus side, the gateway communicates with the PDUs via the RS-485 protocol. You can find more information about this on the data bus page.
On the other side, the gateway communicates with the TCP/IP network. A number of different communication protocols are supported.
- HTTP: The gateway has a web server that can be accessed with standard web browsers such as Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. You can configure the gateway and the PDUs via your web browser.
- API: Application Programming Interface: Via this interface you can access the PDU data or control (switch) the PDU in the programming languages PERL or Dot.net. Programmers can get support at the Schleifenbauer Developer Community, where tips and code are exchanged with other programmers.
- MySQL: The data of the PDUs can be stored in a MySQL database. You can find all information about this in the download section or at the Schleifenbauer Developer Community.
- SNMP: Simple Network Management Protocol. Many monitoring applications make use of SNMP. An MIB file, which you can download from this site, is available for the gateway.
- Modbus: Building management systems often make use of Modbus. This interface is also supported by the gateway.
- Yuston: Yuston is an online monitoring tool that gives you direct access to historical data, alarming via e-mail and SMS without any further adjustments or software. This service is free for the first five PDUs.
