definilink

Definilink is Schleifenbauer Products' answer to the demand for 100% availability. Physically separating the electrotechnical components from the passive components in 2 separate units has created a situation in which, even if there is a failure in the electronics, the power supply no longer needs to be interrupted for the replacement of a defective control unit.

A Definilink is a slave to which the power input is connected and in which all the outputs are incorporated. The only other addition is a passive spool that is used by the controller for measuring the current. In addition, there is a special definilink cable that provides power to the controller as well as the transfer of information between the slave and controller. Finally, there is the controller. All the active components that facilitate measurement and data transport are incorporated in the controller.

The slave can operate autonomously. This means that it is possible to first invest in just slaves and purchase the controller at a later stage, making phased investment a realistic option. Once the controller with the special definilink cable has been connected, measurement of the power in the slave takes place. These measurements are identical to the measurements in the other Schleifenbauer PDUs.
